  • 48 oz Marinara Sauce Store-bought or homemade.

  • 1.5 cups Ricotta Cheese Cottage cheese can be substituted.
  • 1 Egg
  • 2 cups Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
  • 0.5 cup Grated Parmesan Cheese

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions, about 8-10 minutes until al dente. Drain and lay flat on a towel.
  2. In a large skillet, sauté chopped onion in olive oil until translucent. Add ground beef and cook until browned, then add minced garlic for the last minute.
  3. Stir in marinara sauce and seasonings. Simmer for 10-15 minutes.
  4. Mix ricotta cheese, egg, and salt in a bowl until smooth.
  5. Layer the lasagna starting with meat sauce, then noodles, half the ricotta mixture, and a third of mozzarella; repeat twice, ending with noodles and sauce.
  6. Top the last layer with remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
  7. Preheat oven to 375°F. Cover and bake for 30 minutes, then uncover and bake for another 30 minutes until bubbly. Cool for 10 minutes before serving.
