- Cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions, about 8-10 minutes until al dente. Drain and lay flat on a towel.
- In a large skillet, sauté chopped onion in olive oil until translucent. Add ground beef and cook until browned, then add minced garlic for the last minute.
- Stir in marinara sauce and seasonings. Simmer for 10-15 minutes.
- Mix ricotta cheese, egg, and salt in a bowl until smooth.
- Layer the lasagna starting with meat sauce, then noodles, half the ricotta mixture, and a third of mozzarella; repeat twice, ending with noodles and sauce.
- Top the last layer with remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
- Preheat oven to 375°F. Cover and bake for 30 minutes, then uncover and bake for another 30 minutes until bubbly. Cool for 10 minutes before serving.
