- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish thoroughly.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the granulated sugar, light brown sugar, vegetable oil or melted butter, and eggs until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, measure and sift together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture, folding them together gently to prevent overmixing.
- Carefully fold in the chopped pecans.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown.
- Remove from oven and let cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before slicing.
