  • 1 cup Powdered Sugar
For the Color
  • Gel Food Coloring Avoid liquid coloring.

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla and almond extracts.
  5. Gradually fold dry ingredients into the wet mixture until a thick dough forms.
  6. Divide the dough and tint each portion with gel food coloring before chilling in the refrigerator.
  7. Roll tablespoon-sized balls of dough in powdered sugar and place on the baking sheet.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes until the tops crack but the centers are soft.
  9. Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
