Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) to prepare for baking the casserole.
  2. In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat and add 4 cups of shredded chicken, 1 teaspoon of garlic powder, 1 teaspoon of Italian seasoning, and salt and pepper to taste. Cook for about 5 minutes.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine 2 cups of cooked pasta, 2 cups of marinara sauce, and half of your cheeses (1 cup of grated Parmesan and 1 cup of shredded mozzarella). Mix thoroughly.
  4. Stir in the sautéed chicken from the skillet into the pasta mixture.
  5. Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with olive oil, and pour the pasta and chicken mixture into it, spreading evenly.
  6. Top with the remaining cheeses, 1 cup of shredded mozzarella and 1 cup of grated Parmesan.
  7. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, until golden.
  8. Let cool for a few minutes and garnish with fresh basil or parsley before serving.
