  • 4 fillets Mild white fish (cod, tilapia, or haddock)
  • 4 tablespoons Butter
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
For the Seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder or fresh minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon Onion powder adjust as preferred
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika can be omitted
  • Salt & pepper to taste
For the Sauce
  • 4 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 2 lemons Juice and zest
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh parsley (chopped) or dill as substitute

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Pat the fish fillets dry with paper towels, drizzle with olive oil, and season with salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder. Let rest.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and cook the seasoned fish fillets for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
  3. Remove the cooked fish and cover loosely with foil to keep warm.
  4. In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and add butter and olive oil. Once melted, sauté minced garlic for 1-2 minutes.
  5. Stir in lemon juice and zest, season with salt and pepper, and let simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  6. Drizzle the lemon butter sauce over the fish and garnish with chopped parsley. Serve immediately.
