- Begin by patting your fresh fish fillets dry and drizzle with olive oil. Season with salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- In a large skillet, heat over medium-high heat for about 2 minutes. Lay the seasoned fish fillets into the skillet, cooking for about 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown.
- Lower the skillet temperature to medium and add butter and olive oil. As the butter melts, scrape any flavorful bits stuck to the skillet.
- Add minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Then add lemon juice and zest.
- Season the sauce with salt and pepper to taste and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes while stirring occasionally.
- Place the seared fish fillets back into the skillet to simmer briefly in the sauce. Drizzle the warm lemon butter sauce over the fish, and garnish with parsley before serving.
