Ingredients
  

For the Beef
  • 1 pound Ground Beef Use an 80/20 blend for optimal flavor
  • 1/4 cup Soy Sauce Substitute with tamari for gluten-free
  • 2 tablespoons Brown Sugar Can be replaced with honey or maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame Oil Use toasted sesame oil for a bolder taste
For the Aromatics
  • 3 cloves Garlic Fresh, minced for best aroma
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh Ginger Grated, ground ginger can be used as a substitute
For Spice and Garnish
  • 1/2 teaspoon Red Pepper Flakes Adjust to taste
  • 2 stalks Green Onions Sliced for garnish
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame Seeds Optional, for crunch and garnish
For the Veggies
  • 1 cup Broccoli Florets Optional
For Serving
  • 2 cups Cooked Rice White or brown rice

Method
 

Cooking Instructions
  1. In a large skillet, heat over medium-high heat and add the ground beef. Break it apart as it cooks for about 5–7 minutes until browned.
  2. Drain any excess fat from the skillet, then add minced garlic and grated ginger. Sauté for about 2 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Reduce the heat and add soy sauce, brown sugar, and sesame oil. Stir well and simmer for 3–4 minutes.
  4. If using, add broccoli florets and cook for about 3–4 minutes until tender yet crisp.
  5. Prepare rice according to package instructions while the beef mixture simmers.
  6. In serving bowls, place a scoop of rice and spoon the beef mixture over it.
  7. Garnish with sliced green onions and optional sesame seeds before serving.
