  • 1/4 cup Parmesan Cheese Grated or shredded.
For the Dressing
  • 1/2 cup Olive Oil Main ingredient for richness.
  • 1/4 cup White Wine Vinegar Provides necessary acidity.
  • 1/4 cup Mayonnaise Optional for a lighter dressing.
  • 2 tablespoons Lemon Juice Fresh is best.
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Salt Or use minced fresh garlic.
  • 1 teaspoon Italian Seasoning Can replace with fresh herbs.

Method
 

Dressing Preparation
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine olive oil, white wine vinegar, Parmesan cheese, mayonnaise, lemon juice, garlic salt, and Italian seasoning. Whisk until well blended and smooth.
Vegetable Prep
  1. Wash and chop tomatoes. Slice red onion into rings. Chop black olives.
Combining Salad Ingredients
  1. Add American salad blend, pepperoncini, chopped tomatoes, sliced red onion, black olives, and croutons to a large mixing bowl. Toss gently.
Dressing the Salad
