Step‑By‑Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Gather your ingredients and equipment.
  2. In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the lasagna noodles and cook until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Drain and lay flat on a clean towel.
  3. In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef and Italian sausage, about 7-10 minutes. Drain excess fat.
  4. Add marinara sauce, dried oregano, dried basil, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper to the skillet. Simmer on low heat for about 5 minutes.
  5. In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese, large egg, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Mix until creamy.
  6. In your greased baking dish, layer meat sauce, noodles, half of the ricotta mixture, and mozzarella. Repeat until all ingredients are used.
  7. Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese on top of the final meat sauce layer.
  8. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes.
  9. Let cool for 10-15 minutes before slicing and serving.
