- In a small bowl, combine Greek yogurt, mayonnaise, salt, and pepper. Whisk until smooth and let sit for at least 15 minutes at room temperature.
- Slice the red onion thinly and place it in cold water to soak for 10 minutes. Drain and pat dry.
- Bring salted water to a boil, add short pasta, and cook until just al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Drain and rinse under cold water.
- Slice English cucumbers in half lengthwise, scoop out the seeds, and slice thinly. Sprinkle with salt and let drain in a colander for 30 minutes.
- In a large bowl, combine cooled pasta, drained cucumbers, soaked onions, and optional add-ins. Toss gently.
- Pour the dressing over the salad and fold until well-coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving.
