Preparation Steps
  1. In a small bowl, combine Greek yogurt, mayonnaise, salt, and pepper. Whisk until smooth and let sit for at least 15 minutes at room temperature.
  2. Slice the red onion thinly and place it in cold water to soak for 10 minutes. Drain and pat dry.
  3. Bring salted water to a boil, add short pasta, and cook until just al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Drain and rinse under cold water.
  4. Slice English cucumbers in half lengthwise, scoop out the seeds, and slice thinly. Sprinkle with salt and let drain in a colander for 30 minutes.
  5. In a large bowl, combine cooled pasta, drained cucumbers, soaked onions, and optional add-ins. Toss gently.
  6. Pour the dressing over the salad and fold until well-coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving.
